India is a very complex market and there are a number of different regulations and restrictions you must understand and comply with in order to send SMS via GINOTA.

 Is sender ID dynamic?

  •  As per TRAI new regulation, Clients need to register their Principal Entity, Headers ,Templates with Brand Name & Consents on any one of the DLT system below.

  • After DLT registration done, kindly notify GINOTA team the following DLT information by contacting [email protected]:

    • PEID- (Entity unique ID received from DLT after Entity registration Approved)
    • Entity name - (Company name under which registered on DLT)
    • Sender Name - (6 Alpha/Num Sender/Header which is registered in DLT and approved)
    • Registered on - (The DLT platform information)
    • Template file  - (as downloaded from DLT portal template section) and saved as csv format with entityID as file name. <entityid.csv>
  • Sender ID will be prefixed with 2 letters depending on which carrier was used to deliver the SMS to the final operator. 
  • Alpha Sender ID is not supported for International customers, and will be changed to a random short code.

National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC)

  • Please note that promotional SMS will be blocked by operators to subscribers that has been registered in the Indian NDNC (National Do Not Call) Registry.

 Is the DR reliable?

  • Handset DR are only available to registered Sender IDs for OTP Traffic.

 Is concatenated SMS supported?

  • Yes. Long concatenated text messages are supported.

 Are unicode SMS supported?

  • Yes.
